Allergy to malt is very rare and these allergies are changing the lives of many people. According to some people drinking beer causes a malt allergy but some say it is due to eating bread.
What is Malt?
Some people say malt is not a natural food and is due to a process called malting. This process involves grains of barley.
Some people can expect Cross-reactivity between different species of barley. Malt grains are used to make the following products:
- Cereals (wheat)
- Chocolates
- Food sauce
- Other drinks
- Malted brew
- Whisky (Alcohol)
- Vinegar
- Bread
